Christina Fast, Founder

Christina Fast is a sterile processing technician and IAHCSMM educator, with six years of teaching experience. In 2013, Christina founded SPECT, and now partners with Mercy Ships to improve sterile processing standards in hospitals of developing countries. In collaboration with Mercy Ships, Christina has provided education and consulting support to hospitals in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Republic of Congo, and Madagascar. She also provides consulting services to the Africa Mercy OR sterilization department. In November 2015 Christina was recognized by Mennonite Economic Development Associates (http://meda.org/connect/meda-in-the-news/media-centre-press-releases/1773-meda-recognizes-new-class-of-20-under-35-awards) as one of the 20 people under the age of 35 to make a difference in developing countries. Christina divides her time between teaching in Calgary and working in Africa. She finds time in her active life to go camping in the Rocky Mountains, entertains friends around the dining room table, and explores her passion for lifestyle and photography.
