Things to Know Before you Apply

Positions, Time Availabilities and Experience:

A limited number of positions are available. A volunteer working internationally with SPECT is required to commit to a minimum of two weeks (time commitment will depend on need).

 Required Expertise:

We are currently looking for individuals with knowledge of sterile processing standards, experience working internationally, teaching experience specific to sterile processing or health care, and an ability to assist with coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and training of reprocessing technicians and nurses in developing countries.

Financial Obligation:

All applicants are required to provide or raise their own funds to pay for transportation to and from the country in which SPECT is working, as well as personal expenses, food, and lodging. SPECT will cover all work-related in-country travel plans plus training costs.

Health and Age Requirements:

Physical evaluation and immunizations are required for all applicants. Those with certain histories may not be eligible to serve with SPECT. All applicants must be at least 22 years old at time of service.
