 Christina Fast

Christina Fast

Executive Director

Christina has 15 years of experience working in the sterile processing field. She's spent much of that time sharing her passion for sterile processing with health care workers around the world. In 2011, after identifying a gap in providing safe surgical care, Christina along with a small group of volunteers founded SPECT. Today she wears many hats as SPECT’s Executive Director, including curriculum developer, program coordinator, course trainer and visionary.

Olive has worked in healthcare for over 30 years, with much of it being spent in acute care. She is an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University where she teaches nursing. Olive continues to provide support, direction, and leadership in her role as Chair for SPECT and Vice-President for SPECT-US.

Tanya Tucker

Tanya Tucker

Treasurer

Tanya has spent over 15 years working with non-profit administration. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Sociology, and works as a Business Analysis instructor at Mount Royal University. Tanya currently serves as Treasurer on SPECT's Board of Trustees.

Jane McIntosh

Jane McIntosh

Secretary

Jane has over 35 years of experience working with non-profits, with a focus on fundraising, stewardship and the management of volunteers. Jane spent two years volunteering with Mercy Ships International as Team Leader of the sterile processing department, which is where she met Christina. Jane has been involved with SPECT ever since the organization's inception and currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Jared Forrester

Dr. Jared Forrester

President, SPECT-US

A Stanford General Surgery resident who recently completed a two-year fellowship with the Lifebox Foundation in Ethiopia. Jared was tasked with developing Clean Cut, a quality improvement program to decrease surgical infections in resource-constrained settings. His experience in Ethiopia highlighted the critical importance of sterile processing as the backbone to safe surgery.

Albert Enns

Albert Enns

Treasurer, SPECT-US

Albert has nearly 40 years of experience in corporate life and has sought to practice a philosophy of servant leadership. He has worked in both the Food Manufacturing and Healthcare Software sectors, in a variety of fields including Finance, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, and Information Systems Implementation. Al is currently serving as VP Operations Performance with Q-Centrix, a healthcare services outsourcing company.

Catharine Fulmer

Catharine Fulmer

Secretary, SPECT-US

Catharine was a long-term volunteer with Mercy Ships, a hospital ship providing free medical procedures to West and Central Africa. She worked in the administrative department for the hospital where she learned of SPECT's work and immediately became intrigued by their vision.
